REDARC Defence & Space to Showcase Mission-Capable Ineos Grenadier at Land Forces 2024

REDARC Defence & Space is excited to announce that it will unveil its new Mission-Capable INEOS Grenadier at Land Forces Exposition 2024. Through strategic partnerships we created this promotional vehicle that will serve as a platform to showcase REDARC Defence & Space’s innovative power solutions and capabilities in a realistic, challenging environment.

REDARC has a long history of delivering reliable power solutions to remote, harsh environments. To demonstrate our capabilities in a real-world setting, we sought a vehicle that could navigate demanding terrains and support critical operations.

The INEOS Grenadier, with its rugged design, extensive factory features, and customisation options that fitted our needs, emerged as the ideal platform. REDARC Defence & Space acquired a 2023 INEOS Grenadier Trialmaster Edition and began a comprehensive customisation process.

Justin Hocevar, INEOS Automotive Head of Region – Asia Pacific, notes: “The INEOS Grenadier has proven itself to be highly resilient in some of the harshest of conditions from the rugged red-dirt of the hot Australian outback to the icy climates of New Zealand’s South Island and the northernmost regions of Europe. It’s incredible to see the engineering feat REDARC Defence & Space has achieved with their custom-built Grenadier, which showcases the very best of advanced Australian manufacturing innovation.”

To equip the Grenadier for the demanding missions in remote locations, we integrated a comprehensive suite of power, communications, and recovery gear. The vehicle’s intended use in diverse terrains, climates, and road conditions, including the setup of communications repeaters, base stations, sensor networks, or test equipment in remote regions like Northern South Australia, the Northern Territory, or Queensland, necessitated collaboration with partners providing high-quality, reliable products for harsh environments.

To demonstrate REDARC’s ability to deliver innovative power solutions in the toughest scenarios, we partnered with a range of Australian suppliers representing a suite of equipment commonly found on Defence land vehicle platforms. This included C4ISR equipment from a broad spectrum of Australian SMEs, while the vehicle’s cargo area fit-out and mounting hardware were sourced by local manufacturers.

Through this collaborative approach and focus on quality and reliability, we have created a vehicle that not only demonstrates REDARC Defence & Space’s capabilities but also underscores our commitment to innovation and supporting the Australian defence industry.

As Scott Begbie, General Manager REDARC Defence & Space explains: “Redarc Defence & Space is built on a foundation of innovation and collaboration. The INEOS Grenadier embodies this ethos and is the perfect platform on which to showcase not only our product and integration capabilities but also our world class partners that helped bring this project to fruition.”
